Paraguayan
Empanadas
& Street Food on
Georgia Ave NW

Ricoton is a family-run restaurant rooted in traditional Paraguayan street food: from warm pastries baked before sunrise to crispy empanadas and juicy, hearty lomitos, the beloved Paraguayan sandwich.

From Asunción
to DC

My family brought the

flavors of Paraguay to Washington, DC.

Every dish we serve reflects three generations' love of cooking.

STREET FOOD

In Paraguay, street food is not a shortcut; it's a tradition. I want to share with you and your family those flavors that we grew up with: lomitos, lomitos árabes, and pasteles mandi'o.

PASTRIES

Every morning at Ricoton DC, we bake our pastries fresh on-site, just the way our grandparents did it in Barrio Obrero in Asunción, Paraguay. Warm bollos, chewy chipa, and golden empanadas. No reheating. No shortcuts.

BEVERAGE

A good meal becomes great with the right drink. Our café batido, mate cocido, and fresh-squeezed juices bring the flavors of Paraguay to the heart of Petworth.
